Based on her small farm outside of Cloone, the Maison Djeribi bakery and opinionated kitchen is run by M-A Djeribi, an enthusiastic chef of French-Berber descent, who grew up in Paris. Maison Djeribi specialises in handmade artisan foods using her home-grown produce and carefully sourced local, organic and fair-trade ingredients.
Maison Djeribi offers a selection of sourdough breads, hand-kneaded slow-fermented and baked in a wood-fired oven, alongside a variety of preserves, biscotti and French pâtisserie treats. Condiments and fermented foods are also a specialty: raw cultured organic vegetables such as sauerkrauts, kimchi, kvass and her much sought-after fermented harissa.
Selling from the pale green shed in Lowes Yard, off Bridge street, Carrick on Shannon on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm, starting September 12th 2020.
